Thanks so much to everyone who helped make this event so successful. We had 356 participants which was 90 more than last year and raised just over $3,400.00.
Huge thanks to Ivan (traffic management), the Napier City Council, our marshals Boyd, Beverley, Paul, Maureen and Maurie, Sue, David and Trish, Lynne, Kim, Phil, Sally, Pam, Helen, Terry, Andrew, Heather and Rob, time keeper Nicole, Sue and Rebecca Walker, Hannah Coyle, the Ahuriri Sunrise Rotary club who were marshals for our flat walk and who cooked the delicious sausages at the end and Kevin Clark for letting us use his speaker system.
Thanks to Tasti and Onepure who donated bars and water for the finish line. They certainly were a welcome treat at the end of a big trek.
Thanks also to all the businesses who donated spot prizes: Cadbury, Raiseys, Ten24, Par 2 Mini Golf, Shoe Clinic, Brunos Mobility Service, Crossfit Napier, John’s Bakery & Café, Napier Phone & Cable, Laser Force, Bay Espresso, Napier Aquatic Centre, Betaferon, Sport Hawkes Bay, Sanitarium, Reading Cinemas, Bridget McNabb, Napier Prison Tours and Whittakers.
Thanks to Sharp for donating the printing of our materials and Infinity Foundation for the grant to pay the traffic management fee.
And of course thank you to the participants, because without you there wouldn’t be an event! See you all in 2016.
Nicola, Robyn, the Board and members of the Hawkes Bay Multiple Sclerosis Society
